What is Vahati Vaari?

The literal translation of Vahati Vaari is "Flowing" or "Being carried" by water.

This name comes from my own personal birth experience. When I was 6 weeks pregnant, I suffered a great tragedy in my world. My beloved husband suddenly passed away leaving me widowed and pregnant with our first baby. Through this trauma, I quickly learned that the only way to cope with such pain is to accept; to flow. Water became a symbol of this to me. Because of this personal significance, I had maternity photos taken in a picturesque stream, and had a magical peaceful water birth. This experience taught me how majestic and healing birth can be. Now, my goal is to lift and strengthen others through the awesome power of birth.
